Recreation Vehicle Dealer’s Association (RVDA) Project

CETE has worked with the RVDA for over four years conducting DACUM occupational analysis, task verification, task analysis, learning guide development, and certification exam development. We have worked from occupational analysis through development of certification exams for four positions, namely Parts Specialist/Parts Manager, Service Manager, Service Advisor, and Warranty Administrator.

The task verification, task analysis, and learning components are part of CETE’s Systematic Curriculum and Instructional Development (SCID) Model which has been widely used by many companies and colleges. RVDA has used CETE in its capacity of providing expertise for the development of occupational skill profiles and workshop training materials such as self-directed learning guides.

RVDA member dealers, who use the training materials to prepare their employees for the certification exams, feel the occupational skill profiles are well worth the investment as they provide guidance for all instructional program planning, curriculum development, training materials development, organizational restructuring, employee recruitment, training needs assessment, career counseling, job descriptions, and competency test development.
