Center on Education and Training for Employment

CETE recognizes the key importance of professional development and training in keeping educators at all levels prepared to meet the needs of the workforce development system. CETE has conducted thousands of conferences, workshops, seminars, and training activities for public and private sector participants. Customized training and development activities are also developed for clients.

The Academy for Excellence in Teaching (AET) offers unique opportunities for school administrators, teachers and organizations to solve educational problems though building communities of practice. AET programs capacitate individuals responsible for the development and improvement of career-technical education programs and workforce development systems. AET provides fee-based interventions through workshops (non-credit, pre-service & in-service), credit courses through the Ohio State University's Office of Outreach and Engagement, and other professional development services customized to meet specific organizational needs.

Professional Development Academy is a project of the National Dissemination Center for Career and Technical Education, creates learning environments enabling policymakers, educators, and other professionals to develop their leadership capabilities for local, state, and national initiatives and to use research-based information to improve career and technical education programs for the benefit of future workers and employers. Activities center on face-to-face and technology-enhanced dialogue among all sectors of the workforce development system.

International Training Institute (formerly the National Training Fund/University Center) has provided training at basic, advanced, and advanced-professional levels for instructors of apprentices in the sheet metal and air conditioning industry since 1973.

DACUM (Developing a Curriculum) Training Institutes and SCID (Systematic Curriculum and Instructional Development) workshops make CETE a recognized leader in training facilitators of the DACUM occupational analysis process.
